OverviewBroome has a pleasant climate by tropical standards as it is on the dry side of the continent and is cooled by water on two sides. There are usually only around 4 days a year when the temperatures soar over 40 deg C and an average of only 46 rainy days a year, of which 29 are in January to March . The tropical lightning storms and downpours during this period are quite amazing . Like the rest of northern Australia, Broome has two distinct seasons, 'the wet season ' and 'the dry season'. The 'wet season' is officially between October and March and the 'dry season' is officially between April and September. Daytime temperatures during 'the wet' are in the mid 30s C with the overnight temperature averaging around the mid 20s C. Temperatures during 'the dry' can be expected to be in the vicinity of high 20s C to low 30s C with overnight temperatures averaging approximately 15C.
